Suzie Garrigue
I run the events company and b&b that is based at our home, Eggington House. I trained as a Chef at the prestigious Leith’s School of Food and Wine. My first job was at the Garden House Hotel in Cambridge, a four-star hotel. Then as a Chalet girl for two winter seasons in the Italian Dolomites, returning to do executive lunches for a large city based insurance company.
I then went on to set up and run with a friend an outside catering company called Lodge Catering which became a very successful enterprise being official caterers to The Royal Geographical Society in Kensington. We catered for many members of the Royal family and other famous people and had as clients Laurent Perrier, The Prince’s Trust, Credit Suisse, Martini, Virgin, The Orient Express, GlaxoSmithKline, Welcome, Sony, Macmillan Press and many more. Catering for events in many prestigious venues across the capital including The Natural History Museum, The Serpentine Gallery, Trinity House, Whitehall (for the Trooping of the Colours) to name but a few.
I then gave up work for a few years to have children. I have recently started catering again doing all the catering for Nigel Slater and his team whilst they filmed here at Eggington House for a month and a half, ITV with Andy Peters and Marks and Spencer for a photo shoot. Also a few corporate events here in Eggington House for Hambros Bank, Bourne Leisure and some cocktail parties for private clients.
